The generator consists of a series of pairs of electromagnets (4) and a permanent magnet moving axially within solenoids (5). The magnets are attached to a central shaft (2) by fixed side arms (1) set at right angles to it. The motion is induced via a cam shaft (9) driven by a conventional source. The movement of the permanent magnet induces a current in its surrounding coil. This current is used, after rectification, to power one electromagnet which in turn drives the next electromagnet from the fixed coil surrounding it and so on. The number of electromagnets and coils is chosen to meet the load requirement. The energy conversion efficiency of the generator is improved owing to the absence of the sources of friction found in conventional generators.
