The balance provides an indication of weight, and the electronic circuits enable the price to be paid to be indicated from the unit price. The amount of change from the sum tendered is also indicated. A housing (1) is included on top of which is the weighing platform. The housing contains the electronic unit comprising a calculator to which the weighing mechanism and a keyboard are connected. Indicator windows with seven segment displays indicate the weight, unit price and price to pay. The functions are selected automatically by the electronic unit, and the keyboard enables other functions to be selected. The programming ensures that the zero balance is indicated.
