Woollen carding machine doffing device for card web - replaces oscillating comb

A device for removing card web from the doffer cylinders of woollen carding machines replaces the usual oscillating comb by a revolving toothed cylinder and a pair of chromium-plated rollers for the disengagement of the web. A revolving brush co-operates with the toothed cylinder and raking elements keep the chromium-plated rollers clean. The device replaces the oscillating comb to avoid breakdown of the gearing used in the comb control box, and to avoid unevenness caused by the comb oscillation when the card is working at high speed.
