A sublimation printing process is claimed in which a thin, transparent PVC sheet (thickness 10-30/100 th) is printed by high frequency sublimation and is then welded to a compact or expanded, flexible or rigid PVC sheet (I) to form a homogenous and decorative material. The printed, transparent PVC sheet may also be welded to polyurethane on a textile support, fabrics of plant or mineral origin or synthetic fabrics. Migration of the printing ink into sheet (I) is prevented and the quality of the sheet is enhanced. The prod. is used for synthetic leather articles, suitcases, belts, book-binding, footwear, clothing and furniture.
