The draw bolt (3) is used in temporary pens for livestock, mounted slidably in a stirrup (2). The bolt is of round section bar and enters a bore hole in an angle iron staple (7) to secure the pen gate. A pivotable hand-lever (6) is used to manipulate the bolt (3), secured by an axle bolt (5) through cantilever plate (4). The lever has a 'T' shape end return and pivots into a parallel nominally offset relationship with the bolt when fully engaging staple (7) acting with the stirrup(2) to lock the bolt (3) at closure.
