An injection pistol or syringe for artificial insemination of animals having a lone, narrow winding neck to the uterus, esp. cattle. The pistol is of the type having a main rigid tube with manually displaceable piston. The leading end of the main tube is fitted with a communicating injection pipe of semi-rigid material, e.g. polythene. The leading end of the injection pipe is bent over slightly to facilitate passage through the neck of the uterus. The joint fixing the injection pipe to the main tube is set back well inside the main tube so as not to interfere with bending the injection pipe and to improve asepsis.
