The eyesight testing appts. includes a housing with an opening which is aligned with the patient's eyes. In the housing there is a drum carrying six images, rotated by a motor for use in testing the patient's far siqht. There is a similar drum rotated by a motor for testing near sight. A point light source is provided for testing the near point of vision. Two rotatable discs near the patient's eyes carry sets of lenses which may be introduced into the patient's line of sight to determine the appropriate corrective lens strengths. An optical system including small lamps near the opening adjacent to the patient's eyes, and lenses enables the operator to watch the patient's eyes during the testing procedure. A control panel situated below the lenses includes pushbutton switches and a numerical display showing the elements selected.
