Solid state processor for e.g.washing machine cooker - uses subroutines for salvage of identifier data associated with selected routine interrupted by power failure
The mains-powered processor-controlled appts. is controlled when the power fails and is subsequently restored. In the case of a power failure, data identifying the programme in progress is transferred for salvage to a memory. When power is restored, and if the duration of the mains-power failure is smaller than a predetermined value, physical parameters which define the instantaneous state of the appts. are sensed in response to an instruction from the processor (15), e.g. a microprocessor, in order to determine the conditions under which the programme may be resumed by the appts. Via its input channels (112-115) a multiplexer circuit (111) receives the data necessary for the execution of the programme, for example the manual selection of a programme via a line (112) and, depending of the type and function of the appts. in question, data relating to the value of physical quantities such as e.g. the temperature or others via the other channels. The appts. (105-108) can be a washing machine.
