PURPOSE:Fish is crushed into granules to such a level as the original shape of the fish cannot be imagined from the resultant granules to prepare the objective fish powder for a bowl of hot boiled rice, thus increasing the intake of small fishes containing a large amount of calcium. CONSTITUTION:Small fish that can be readily eaten without deboneing such as small sardines or whitebaits is boiled at 100 deg.C, cooled and the foreign substances are removed. Then, for example, 250kg of the boiled fish is dipped in a seasoning solution containing 75kg sugar, 7kg thick malt syrup, 5kg salt, 1kg chemical flavor, white sesame and so on for about half a day, taken out of the solution, dried with cool or warm air for 7-8hr, then crushed with a crusher into particles to such a level as the original shape of the fish cannot be imagined, e.g., to sesame seeds. The resultant seasoned fish powder is combined with other ingredients such as powders of cod roe, laver weed, yolk of dried egg or seasoned bonito to give the objective fish powder for a bowl of boiled rice.
