CORROSION PROOFING WORK FOR STEEL PIPE PILE

PURPOSE:To perform good corrosion-proofing work under the surface of sea water by a method in which an outer cylinder is attached to the periphery of a steel pipe pile, and a liquid adhesive epoxy resin for wet surface is injected into the aperture between the steel pipe pile and the outer cylinder. CONSTITUTION:An outer cylinder 2 is attached on the periphery of a steel with a spacing, and a puttied adhesive epoxy resin for wet surface is coated on the lower end portion of an outer cylinder 2 to form a lower sealed portion 5. An injection pipe 9 is inserted into near the lower sealed portion 5, and then a puttied adhesive epoxy resin for wet surface is coated on the upper part of the outer cylinder 2 to form an upper seal portion 4. Then, an injection pump 8 is actuated to inject a liquid epoxy resin in a storage tank 11 into the aperture between the pile 1 and the outer cylinder 2. The sea water in the injection space is discharged through a discharge pipe 10 to the outside. After the resin is cured, the injection pipe 9 and the discharge pipe 10 are cut and removed.
