PURPOSE:To make it possible to perform arithemtic operations without using special multiplication, addition and subtraction devices by a method wherein command signals and feedback signals are pulse-width-modulated into sample signal groups with phase differences in time, and then they are superposed in time sequence to be made into deviation signals. CONSTITUTION:By a signal phi, a distributor Dis2 outputs sampling signals phi1-phi4 having a fixed period and phase differences. By sampling signals phi1-phi4, pulse- width modulators PWMR, PWM1-PWM3 pulse-width-modulate respectively a command signal I, a current detedtion signal Si, a phase detection signal Stheta, a speed detection signal Sv, output pulse-width signals P1-P4 and signals delta1-delta4 showing positive and negative quality. The signals P1-P4, delta1-delta4 are superposed by OR circuits OR3, OR4 and are converted into deviation signals P0, delta0, respectively. A distributor Dis1 converts the deviation signals P0, delta0 into motor drive signals B1-B4, respectively.
