PURPOSE:To obtain a prepared solution for determining the titled substance, capable of being stored for a long time, by dissolving gamma-glutamyl-p-nitroanilide hydrochloride in a mixed solvent of dimethyl sulfoxide and a water-soluble organic solvent, followed by adding beta-cyclodextrin to the solution. CONSTITUTION:gamma-Glutamyl-p-nitroanilide hydrochloride is dissolved in a mixed solvent of dimethyl sulfoxide and an organic solvent such as ethyl alcohol, isopropanol, etc. miscible with water so that gamma-glutamyl-p-nitroanilide hydrochloride is stabilized. This gamma-glutanyl-p-nitroanilide hydrochloride is added to a buffer solution especially to a buffer solution, containing beta-cyclodextrin to give a solution, which is adjusted to a given concentration. This solution is reacted with a test specimen such as serum, etc., to determine the activity at a constant temperature.
