MANUFACTURE OF READILY ACID-SOLUBLE ALUMINUM HYDROXIDE AND BASIC ALUMINUM SALT SOLUTION

PURPOSE:To manufacture very readily acid-soluble Al(OH)3 gel by instantaneously mixing and reacting an aqueous soln. (A) of normal Al salt of mono- or divalent acid, an aqueous soln. (B) of basic Al salt with low basicity or a mixed aqueous soln. (C) of the soln. A and mono- or divalent acid with an aqueous soln. of a basic substance. CONSTITUTION:Said soln. A such as an aqeous soln. of AlCl3, said soln. B such as an aqueous soln. of basic aluminum chloride or said soln. C such as a mixed aqueous soln. of normal Al salt and hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid or the like is prepared. The Al concn. of the acidic soln. is 2-12wt% as Al2O3 in general. The soln. A, B or C is instantaneously mixed and reacted with an aqueous soln. of a basic substance such as Na3AlO3 by means of a pump for conveying a liq. such as a fugal pump. By this instantaneous liq. phase neutralization reaction or liq. phase partial reaction, the desired readily acid-soluble Al(OH)3 gel is obtd. The reaction temp. is about 10-65 deg.C.
