CONTROLLING METHOD OF INK DROP-EJECTING DIRECTION

PURPOSE:To control the direction of an ink drop ejection with high accuracy within a short period in an ink drop ejecting recorder, by putting a plurality of marks onto a gutter for collecting disused ink drops, and bombarding the ink drops to the marks for the control of the orientation of a head. CONSTITUTION:A single nozzle ink ejection head 1 for ejecting ink drops is attached to an ink ejection head 3. The orientation of the attachment is controllable. A plurality of such heads 3 are attached to a head base 4. The head base 4 is provided with a gutter b for collecting disused ink drops, which has not taken part in the recording, by a catcher. The catcher has a plurality of marks 7. The direction of the ink drop ejection from the head 1 is controlled in such a manner that the disused ink drops, which has not taken part in the recording, are bombarded to the corresponding marks 7, and that the orientation of the head is consequently controlled to adjust the direction of the ink drop to a desired direction.
