PENETRATION OF STEEL PIPE PILE INTO ROCKBED BY DEAD WEIGHT TYPE EXCAVATOR

PURPOSE:To easily perform excavation and cutting of rock bed by a method in which the area at the lower end of the inside of a steep pipe is forwardly excavated by a dead weight for forward and middle excavation works, the dead weight is once taken out of the steel pipe, strike receiving cylinder is set at the inner lower end of the steel pile, and the dead weight is again dropped to strike the strike receiving cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A steel pipe pile 11 tipped with a crushing portion 12 is vertically erected on a rocked 10 to be excavated, the pile 11 is vertically moved inside the pipe 11 by a rope 16, and by its dropping energy, the area a the lower end of the steel pipe is excavated, and the muck is discharged through a discharge pipe 15. After the middle-excavation work to a given depth, the dead weight 14 is pulled out of the steel pipe 11, and the strike receiving cylinder 21 is fixed to the inside of the tip of the pile 11. Then, the dead weight 14 is again inserted into the steel pipe 11 and dropped by gravity, its dropping force is transmitted through the striking portion 20 of the dead weight 14 and the strike receiving cylinder 21 to the crushing portion 13 at the tip of the pile 11, and the pile 11 is pressed into the rock bed 10.
