CONSTITUTION:For transporting an elevating work platform on the sea to go to the sea area of trial boring or to change the sea area of trial boring, elevating support legs 6 are elevated on the work platform 5 by elevating mechanisms 8 of pinions 8A, racks, and others. Then, support legs 6 are fast fixed on the work platform 5 by fixing devices 12, and the platform is transported on the sea in this state. Since support legs 6 are fixedly connected with the work platform 5, the elevating mechanisms 8, leg guides, and others can be prevented from excessive load caused by the load moment or the like for transportation, and consequently, from damages.
