CLATHRATE COMPOSITION CONSISTING OF VITAMIN E AND CYCLODEXTRIN AND ITS PREPARATION

PURPOSE:To obtain a clathrate composition containing stable and hydrophilic vitamin E simply, by mixing the vitamin E with cyclodextrin. CONSTITUTION:A saturated aqueous solution of cyclodextrin is mixed with a solution containing vitamin E or a natural vegetable oil containing the vitamin E dissolved in a small amount of an organic solvent, e.g. methanol, at room temperature to 70 deg.C, and cooled or concentrated to form a precipitate, which is then filtered to afford a clathrate composition containing the vitamin E. The molar composition ratio between the vitamin E and the cyclodextrin is 1:1 or more, preferably 1:1-3. USE:A medicine effective for the remedy of peripheral circulatory disorder and pregnant dysfunction and the remedy and prevention of increase in lipoperoxide or an animal feed additive.
