PURPOSE:To enable a single tube to exhibit arbitrary color luminescence, by composing the structure of an anode segment provided with a part of the desired pattern divided into several pieces, with the plural number of luminescent phosphor. CONSTITUTION:Equally divided three segments of anode 2a, 2b, 2c are printed on the substrate 1 and each of which is coated with a plurality of phosphors, for example, phosphors 3R, 3G and 3B of red, green and blue luminescence respectively. And multicolor luminescence can be realized by means of a color synthesis and dispersion board 8 by controlling the electric potential to be impressed on the anodes 2a, 2b, 2c and control electrodes 6R, 6G, 6B respectively in order to excite luminescent property of each single color phosphor 3R, 3G and 3B of an anode segment by means of an electron beam emitted from cathode 5.
