PURPOSE:To contrive to save the propulsion energy of the vessel by a method wherein a wind mill is provided on the board of the vessel and the rotational force of said wind mill is utilized as the auxiliary power to the propulsion screw propeller of the vessel. CONSTITUTION:The vane wind mill with a plurality of shield shaped steel plate wind receiving vanes 1 is supported with a pivot 3 on the deck 5 of the vessel. The shaft 2 of the wind mill is extended into the hull so as to be connected with the propeller shaft in order to give the auxiliary power thereto.
