RIDGE TILES USED AT RIDGE ENDS AND STRUCTURE FOR VENTILATING UNDER-RIDGE SPACE, GARRET AND UNDER-TILE SPACE

PURPOSE:To keep dwelling environment always comfortable, by forming a hollow space at the ridge of a house, communicating the hollow space to a hollow space formed under roofing tiles, concentrating air in the under-tile space to the under-ridge space, and ventilating the air in the under-ridge space spontaneously to the outside from openings formed at the ends of the ridge. CONSTITUTION:A ridge tile 1 used at the ridge ends of a roof is composed of a main body 4 consisting of a baked roofing tile or the like with a comma-shaped part 3 formed with a hole 2 and a cap 7 consisting of an outer sleeve 5 and an inner sleeve 6 fitted into the outer sleeve 5 in a freely rotatable manner. A water-proof sheet 21 is placed over the roof board 20 which is applied over rafters 19 on both inclined surfaces of the roof, and roofing tiles 22 are laid seccessively on the sheet 21. Here, the top end parts of the roofing tiles 22 are opened at lower parts of ridge tiles 1, 1', and an under-ridge space 30 is formed by forming extensions 25 on the roofing tiles 22. With such an arrangement, air under eaves is drawn from inlet openings formed at the lowermost section of the roofing tiles 22 and carried concentratedly to the under-ridge space 30, and then the air concentrated in the space 30 can be ventilated to the outside spontaneously from the openings formed in the caps 7 for the ridge tiles 1 at the both ends of the roof.
