PURPOSE:To continuously and automatically carry out cleaning of a filter and collection and exhaustion of foreign matters, in passing a filtrate into an inside of a cylindrical filter concentrically fixed in a central part of a filtering machine from an outer periphery thereof to clean said filter, by rotating a blade wheel around the outer periphery of said filter at a high speed. CONSTITUTION:A blade 5 is rotated at a high speed in an outer side of a filter 8 and negative pressure and a vortex stream are generated to an inner surface of said blade 5. Then, a part of a liquid purified in a purified liquid chamber 16 is reversely flowed and injected to the inner surface of said blade 5 by negative pressure to separate foreign matters accmulated on the filter 8. Further, by the vortex stream, accmulated foreign matters and separated and floated foreign matters are involved into turblent flow to be introduced into a sludge collecting trough 18 of a rear flange part of said blade. Because said trough 18 is a trough like space formed by curving the rear flange part of said blade, a liquid in a range of said space is rotated at a speed equal to that of the blade 5. Then, foreign matters involved into a rapidly rotated liquid by said turblent flow are caught and accmulated in the vicinity of a outermost peripheral part of said trough by centrifugal force as well as, by pressure due to said centrifugal force, lowered to a sludge concentrating chamber 20 as a sewage from an opening part of a lower end thereof.
