PREVENTION OF OCCURRENCE OF DUST, OUTFLOW, AND IGNITION OF COAL IN OPEN-AIR STORAGE

PURPOSE:To effect the prevention of occurrence of dust, outflow, and ignition of coal in open-air storage inexpensively for a long time effectively, by scattering extremely quickly hardening cement paste or mortat on the coal in open-air storage so that the coal is isolated from air. CONSTITUTION:Extremely quickly hardening cement is blended with water to give paste with flow properties or the paste is blended with aggregate, e.g., sand, etc. to give mortar, and it is applied to coal in open-air storage by a spray, etc. in a thickness of about 2-5mm. and the layer is solidified. The extremely quickly hardening cement is prepared by adding gypsum to a clinker comprising an ordinary Portland cement clinker mineral and 1-30wt% 11CaO.7Al2O3.CaX2 (X is halogen element).
