DEVICE FOR CONNECTING SOLAR HEAT COLLECTOR OF SOLAR HEAT COLLECTING APPARATUS

PURPOSE:To obtain a connecting device by which connecting sections of heat collectors of a vaccum glass tube type or other types and heat medium passages can be automatically closed when one of the heat collectors is damaged or replaced, so that when one of the heat collectors is damaged, all of the function of the heat collecting apparatus is not stopped, and remaining heat collectors can work. CONSTITUTION:In a heat collecting unit wherein passages 1 for a medium to be heated are located centrally and a plurality of solar heat collectors 2 are arranged side by side on both sides thereof, the heat collector 2 comprises concentrically arranged transparent glass pipes 3, 4 having different diameters and with bottoms, and open ends of the pipes have a glass lid 7 fused thereto. The medium passages 1 have upper introducing paths 11 and lower discharging paths 12 the opening of which are resistered with holes 5, 6 of the closing lids 7 and connected hermetically therewith. In these connecting sections, valve mechanisms 15, 16 are arranged which comprises leaf-like valves forced in the closing direction by compression springs 25, 26. These valve mechanisms 15, 16 the normal state are retained in the open positions by guides 23.
