The female asparagus plant combines resistance to mildew (Puccinia asparagi), resistance to decaying of the head and foot in the open (Fusarium moniliforme and Fusarium oxysporum), and the capacity to produce edible sprouts. The plant also combines with a male of the species to produce a clonal hybrid with the additional characteristic of a high yield. The mean physical characteristics of the variety have been observed over several years and may include: number of nodes below the first branch....22.3, distance between the head and the first branch....704mm, number of branches....60.2, and the distance between first and last branches....1638mm.
