We claim: 1. Process for the production of azo dye compounds of low solubility in water of the formula (I) shown in the accompanying drawings, where Rt and Ra, independently of each other, stand   for chlorine or bromine atoms, R3 and R4, independently of each other, for hydrogen atoms or methyl groups, and R5 for a hydrogen atom or a cyano group, and where the benzene nucleus A may bear further substituents, such as for example halogen atoms, alkyl, alkoxy, acyl, acylamino, acyloxy, nitro and cyano- groups, with the exception of sulphonic acid groups, which comprises diazotization of ar- amine of formula (II) shown in the drawings, following by coupling of the diazonium compound with a compound of formuJa (III) shown in the drawings.
