The safety lock for a two wheel vehicle comprises a housing with two elongated locking pins (2) which may be inserted into a locking bridge piece (3), with a key to open or close the lock, in series with a battery. The housing contains an electronic circuit with a number of series connected wires (A) in parallel with a resistor (13) and connected to monostable multivibrator with two NOR gates (9,10) in parallel, the output of one being connected to a timing circuit with a capacitor (11) and a resistor (12) and the output of the other to the base circuit of a transistor (7). A relay (8) is in the emitter-collector circuit of the transistor and controls an electric horn (5) which is activated when the circuit is broken.
