The arrangement is intended for dredging silt from the bottom of a canal or ditch etc. It comprises a pontoon (1) at one end carrying an upright dozer blade with forwardly open V-shape. A self-priming pump (3) on the pontoon has a suction intake (9) near the lower end of the apex of the blade and discharges via a directionally adjustable spray nozzle (16) to deposit the dredged material on the canal bank. The pontoon carries winches for cables secured near the bank to move the pontoon during the dredging operation. A removable (12) cutter (11) may be arranged at the intake.
