摘要
The continuous honeycomb-section arched girders are made by starting with beams of a particular height which are cut in a sawtooth pattern, the halves formed being then welded together at the tips of the teeth. Initially two similar solid beams are used, both being cut in a sawtooth pattern, although the tooth pitch (8) of the one (1) is different from that (28) of the other (2), to allow for the bending radius of the complete arched beam, of which they form the top and bottom halves. One half of the one beam is combined with one of the other, when they have been bent to the desired shape.
