Apparatus for mooring a ship (1) to a buoy (2) includes an arm (5) pivoted to the ship at one end (8a) and having a ring (9) mounted to its other end about a horizontal axis (10). The ring (9) mounts two vertically-spaced trains of wheels (15, 16), the trains being cooperable with respective surfaces (18, 19) of a rolling track (17) of the buoy (2) when the ship is moored thereto.
