METHOD OF MANUFACTURING HOLLOW WAVEGUIDES FOR TRANSMISSION OF ELECTROMAGNETIC WAVES AND WAVEGUIDES REALIZED BY THIS METHOD

AbstractA method of manufacturing hollow waveguides for trans-mission of electromagnetic waves consists in that twostrips made of a flexible material are placed one uponthe other and joined by at least two seems to product anairtight hollow duct between two adjoining seams, the edgesof the stripe are then calibrated. Waveguides for trans-mission of electromagnetic waves, manufactured by thismethod have at least one hollow duct filled with a gasand at least two additional flat waveguides of the speci-fied width and height, which serve as elements of the dis-tributed electrical coupling, are formed by longitudinalseams joining the walls of the hollow duct throughout itslength and located in one plane of the hollow duct axialsymmetry at its opposite edges.
