A game device offering a prospect of a prize has an added exchange control which puts the player in a position to exert partial control over the rotating bodies. When the control is released, which may be indicated by a lamp, the player has the option of pressing a swop button on the device. When the button is depressed, it gives the appearance that the symbols which are represented by two of the rotating bodies of the device are exchanged with each other. Instead, the symbol of a halted rotating body may also appear on a moving rotating body as soon as the latter stops, while the originally halted rotating body begins to move again. The control is effected by a microcomputer control of a start and stop apparatus for the rotating bodies. The current angular position of each rotating body is fed digitally to the microcomputer via scanning means.
