A digital ITS signal generator usable as a reference standard instrument in systems for producing, transmitting and diffusing color television signals by the PAL system comprises a pulse generator whose synchronism generator (P.G.) is off standard and has the subcarrier frequency f_sc and the line frequency f_H bound to each other by the relation:$\mathop{\mathrm{image}}$;By this arrangement the subcarrier frequency is an integral multiple of the line frequency so that it is sufficient that each ITS signal is generated in a single version instead of four as would be necessary in the case of a standard P.G. in which:$\mathop{\mathrm{image}}$
