Cpds. of formula (I) (where R = 1-6C alkyl; R1 = 2-6C alkenyl, 2-6C alkynyl, lower alkylthioalkyl or N-alkylcarbamoylmethyl; Alk = 1-6C alkyl; X = O or S) are insecticides (systemic) and acaricides used to control plant parasites, in hygiene and storing og goods. (I) are active against both sucking and grinding insects and have low toxicity to warm-blooded animals. They are applied in classical formulations and have good stability and long duration activity on wood and clay. (I) have better activity than known cpds. where R1 = alkyl e.g. methyl.
