The connection to be provided is between two vertically aligned prefabricated beam or slab beam elements, made of reinforced or stressed concrete. It prevents the occurrence of torsional moments resulting from an off-centre joint obviating the need to enlarge the elements to a degree intolerable for storey ceiling height dimensions in high-rise buildings. The accommodating beam element (1) is shaped with an inwards and downwards slope (3). This absorbs the vertically effective bearing pressure of the beam element, and at the same time the horizontally effective tensile force resulting from the off-centre attachment.
