The concrete pipe is subjected to hydraulic pressure and its inner surface is lined with plastics sheet. The pressurised water does not separate the lining. The plastics sheet lining (6) is placed with spacers (5) on the surface (4) of the concrete. The joining compound is placed in certain areas between the lining and concrete. The spacers are parallel ribs (5) of the plastics lining (6) which are vertical. These ribs can be T shaped for keying purposes. The lining lower end is situated below the lowest water level.
