The protective cover for vehicles is made of a textile material and covers the car sides from roof to below the door locks, the windscreen and windscreen wipers and the rear window. The cover is attached to the car body using magnets fitted to the edges of the sheet which can be in several pieces or in one piece to wrap round the entire vehicle. The cover can be made as an alternative of an inflatable sheeting which can be packed into a small volume when not in use. The cover ensures that a car left in the open during winter does not freeze up so that time is not spent thawing the car out in order to get inside it.
