The bristles application to toothbrushes etc. is spread over several processing stations in the form of plugging machines, which combined form a production line. Each machine only performs one and the same process step. In this way a series of bristle holes are fitted with bristle tufts always in the same linear direction. Thus the sum of the application steps, required according to the type and number of bristles, produces a complete fitting of the brush head in one continuous work step. The holders with the aligned brush heads move on a conveyor past the different stations.
