Sepn. of poultry lungs and livers - by circulating combs dipping in water bath and passing cutter blade

Coherent lungs and livers from the entrails of animals, esp. poultry, are sepd. by placing them in water bath where the lungs float on the surface. An endless belt which circulates above the water bath carries combs with L-shaped tines which dip into the water and catch between lung and liver. They carry them past serrated cutter blades which separate them. Sliding scraper blades are arranged at a certain spacing on the belt to clear any prematurely severed livers off the bottom of the water bath. This saves the time consuming manual labour for this operation.
