Interlocking rubber panel for wide flooring - has complementary edge undercut tongues and cut-outs

Provision for securing positioning is incorporated in a floor panel, made of rubber or similar, used in a large-area floor covering. In the area of two parallel longitudinal edges (7,8), at least, there is a joint profiling section, with tongues (2) undercut in relation to the edges, and recesses (4) containing the undercut sections (3). The surface element dominating the tongues is repeated in the base surface of these, in congruent form. Two other parallel edges (9,10) may be free of profiling, while the profiled ones each have a central recess containing two opposite undercut sections, bounded by tongues containing the panel corners, with symmetrically assembled base surface producing the recesses' base surface.
