The machine has a cutting roller at each end, height-adjustable on a swivelling carrier arm. It is armed with sprinkler nozzles and connectable with a fluid duct conveying part of its fluid to the heat-exchanger. There is a valve (15) with intakes directly connected to the heat- exchanger (19) output and fluid duct (12) respectively. Both valve outputs are selectively connectable to the duct sections (24,25) leading to the different rollers (3,4). They are circuited so that the nozzles on the follow-up roller are always subjected to fluid from the heat-exchanger.
