IR double sighting night sight - has wide angle picture tube viewer and narrow angle indicated aiming sight

The sight comprises two parallel fixed tubes, one of narrow angle using two lenses and providing an LED indication of correct aim, the second using a picture tube or residual light amplifier to provide a wider angle picture of the scene. The narrow angle tube (24) houses two lenses (8,9) with narrow angle focus onto an infrared sensitive detector, e.g. photodiode (15), with associated amplifier (14) which feed a decoder (11) to drive the LED indicators (16,17) located in the vision field of the first, wider angle tube and ocular lens (4). In the first tube (19) the lens focusses light on the picture tube (3), the screen (18) of which is viewed through that tube's ocular lens (4). The equipment is battery (7,13) powered.
