The appts. cord has stranded wire cores forming individual conductor cables. The wire core (3) of each cable line (2) is surrounded by a coloured insulation (4). The latter being sheathed in an additional plastics sleeve (5). Pref. the latter is wrapped in braiding (6) of cotton or plastics fibres. The sleeve may leave the ends of the core insulation free. The end sections of the cable sleeve may be fitted with a special fabric. The braiding and the sleeve are typically of the same colour. This core permits easy assembly. The normal colour coding of insulated conductors and plug connectors can be easily maintained. The core has a high service life.
