Transversely stiffened strip esp. for marking road-works - has integrally formed or bonded transverse ribs

A band or ribbon stabilised across its width is intended esp. as a boundary marker for construction sites, road works, etc. The strip has stiffening ribs integrally formed with or connected to it and oriented not parallel to the length of the band, more specifically transversely to it. With this arrangement the band is prevented from curling up under longitudinal stress. The ribs may be glued, seal-welded or moulded onto the strip or may be sandwiched between upper and lower layers of the strip. Typical materials are thermoplastics.
