The furniture parts which make the unit furniture system are designed as complete frames and/or parts of frames made of a flat material. The larger dimension of this flat material determines the depth of the frame. These frames or parts of them can be fixed by suitable devices with their open backs fitting onto baseplates which can be attached to a wall. These base plates are pref. square and covered on the front with a textile covering. The closing base plate which completes the furniture unit gives the unit its characteristic appearance. The base plates can be placed side by side in two directions allowing the furniture system to be extended in any way.
