The control system consists of one or more buffer zones (15), positioned behind the outer wall skin, in several areas of the building. A flow resistance extends from the buffer zone to the outside, and the building interior (16). The buffer zones are connected by one or more channels (17,19). Each channel preferably contains a throttle unit (21), to adjust the pressure differential between the buffer zones. The throttle may free the air passage dependent upon that pressure differential. It may have threshold value characteristics. The throttle may also be controlled by a temperature sensor.
