Scheelite (I) flotation from a mineral concentrate (II) obtd. by gravimetric treatment and contg. (I), cassiterite and heavy metal sulphides, comprises adding an organic chelating agent (III) and the usual collectors and promoters to the (II) pulp after flotative sepn. of the pyrites and floating from the pulp. The selectivity for W is high and economical results are obtd. in a simple process. Pref. (III) is an organic cpd. with amino N atom(s) in the alpha-position to a carboxyl gp. Pref. it is used in a concn. of 0.05-2.5 kg/t solids in the pulp, which has a solids content of 0.4-0.6 kg/l.
