The scraper conveyor has covering hoods, forming wall sections for an upper and a lower channel for the drag chain. The hoods are fastened to the side profiles of channels. Slide distance pieces are indirectly fastened by screws or anchors between hoods and side profiles. The screws pass through the distance pieces and the screw heads engage behind bracket supports etc on the outside of the side profiles. The ends of the distance pieces (9) pointing in longitudinal direction of the conveyor, have a T-shaped cross section. The foot of the T-profile is directed upwards and engages on the side profile (3) or the bracket (21). Transverse bores (23) pass through the foot, in an upper and a lower row, for additional screws (24) or anchors.
