Outer sole for hard wearing shoe - has protruding rim round part of shoe upper level with insole, and insertion piece beneath insole

The outer sole is made of flexible, tough, resilient material, and is especially for a walking mountaineering, child's or work shoe. The edges of the sole at the sides are raised, with a rim (3) stretching at least round part of the shoe upper, on a level with the insole (5). Underneath the inner sole (5) is an insertion piece (6) the edges of which fit into the protruding rim (3). The inside of the sole edge (2) runs parallel to the conical outer surface of the sole edge (2).
