Water jet pump for chemical use - has adaptor to utilise part of pumping flow for cooling other equipment

A standard water jet vacuum pump used in chemical laboratories has an outlet (6). The adaptor is connected to this outlet by means of a coupling (7). The adaptor has an inlet (1) which is joined to the outlet of the pump by the coupling. It has an outlet (2) which has a crimped restrictor (4) on the discharge opening. There is a branch (3) between the inlet and the outlet. The branch terminates in an open end which can be connected by a rubber tube to any piece of equipment which needs a flow of cooling water. A tap (5) in the branch regulates the flow through it.
