Electroacoustical hearing and with amplitude to frequency conversion - uses variable damping of selected frequencies and variable amplification factor

The hearing aid with an audio amplifier uses a frequency channel which has an amplitude to frequency conversion function. In the frequency region of at least one vocal formant there is relatively reduced damping and in frequency regions in which there are no vocal formants relatively heavy damping is used. The amplification factor in one or both regions can be adjusted. At least one frequency range between a region of increased and reduced damping can be varied.
